What we collect, and how to delete it.
ScoutPipe (scoutpipe.com) uses this page to understand a data task and send it to the team. There is no account and no payment in this version. Last updated 6 October 2026.
What we collect
- The messages you type in the chat, including a plan or route the assistant drafts.
- Name, company, and work email, if you choose to send them.
- Browser language, the country inferred from your IP address, and utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign when those are present in the link you opened.
- A short-lived session token after you pass the bot check. It lives in this tab’s session storage and expires within 12 hours.
The assistant
Messages are processed by an AI assistant so ScoutPipe can ask follow-up questions and draft a plan. When an Anthropic API key is configured, that processing is done by Anthropic. The key stays on the server. When no key is configured, a local preview assistant answers and the messages are not sent to Anthropic.
Who else receives a request
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the bot check (Turnstile), and sees connection data such as IP address.
- If Telegram is configured, the team gets a summary of requests that are not declined: route, segment, goal, sources, and contact. Declined requests are not sent to Telegram.
- If a spreadsheet webhook is configured, the same request is appended as a row, including the conversation.
- If Plausible or Google Analytics is configured, those tools receive the page view and the product events listed in the repository README. Neither is enabled until its environment variable is set.
What we don’t collect
ScoutPipe works with business and public data only. The assistant is instructed to decline requests for personal data about private individuals, including lookups by tax ID or social security number, background checks, and harvesting of personal contacts.
How to delete a request
Email hello@scoutpipe.com from the address you used, or name the reference shown after you send a request. We will delete the conversation and contact details from the team inbox and the spreadsheet. We cannot delete copies that an AI provider has already processed under its own retention terms.
How long a chat stays in the browser
The open conversation is stored in session storage on your device so a refresh does not clear it. Closing the tab clears it. We do not set a tracking cookie for the chat itself. Turnstile may set a cookie of its own.
